Medical Litigation dominates this year's physician's week in Katsina (Photos)

The Chairman Katsina state chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association has called on medical Doctors to reflect back on what they have been doing and improve upon that during the 2018 physicians week that was held at the Federal Medical Center Katsina.

The Chairman Dr Nafiu Abdulaziz told Cliqq Magazine that the physician’s week is observed yearly and it is aimed at celebrating both the medical practitioners & patients as well.
He also added that during the week, Doctors reflect back on what have been done in the healthcare sector.

Dr Abdulaziz said “in this year’s program, we have decided to enlighten doctors on litigation issues and we have invited stakeholders to enlighten us because we are now in the age of litigation”.
Doctor Abdul commended the effort of Governor Masari for improving & upgrading of medical facilities in the state.
Highlights of the events was a paper presentation by Barr. Abdullahi Ibrahim [Medico Legal Advocate] who spoke extensively on the Theme 'Medical Litigation in Healthcare practice (the contemporary Nigeria healthcare practitioner)'.

Cliqq Magazine learnt that part of activities lined up for this year’s physician’s week includes a public awareness campaign, doctor’s enlightenment and engagement with the government & stakeholders.
