Tragic | How Katsina pilgrim died while boarding return flight


A Katina state pilgrim from Kusada Local Government Area, Abdullahi Adamu Damuna died yesterday while boarding a return flight at the Jeddah International Airport, Saudi Arabia.

Aged 40, Damuna slumped at a customs point during his final screening. He was to be airborne at 1.15am. Damuna was rushed to a hospital where he was confirmed dead.
A witness on the same flight with the deceased said there was confusion at the scene as pilgrims and officials rushed to provide support.
Officials of the state pilgrim welfare board confirmed the incident on condition of anonymity.
