2019 Election | 60,000 voters PVCs yet to be coleected in Katsina says Electorate Commissioner


As the 2019 general election approach, it was shocking and alarming when the Resident Electoral Commissioner disclosed that a total of 60, 000 Permanent Voter Card (PVCs) is yet to be collected in Katsina state.

Cliqq Magazine confirmed that a about 60,000 Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) in Katsina State are yet to be collected by their respective owners, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) , Jibril Zarewa, has said.

Speaking at a press conference in Katsina, Zarewa said so far about 2,740,000 PVC’s had been collected.

He said the ongoing voter registration exercise in the state was encouraging as 118,525 persons had been captured out of which 74,894 are males, while 43,631 are females.

He called on all those who are yet to collect their PVCs to do so at their various registration centers.

 Katsina state is the hometown of president Buhari but majority of its people don’t have voters card that will make them eligible to cast their votes come election period.
