Katsina Sponsors 50 Indigenes To Study French Language In Niger Rep


Katsina state government has sponsored 50 indigenes to study French language at Maryam Abacha University in Maradi, Niger republic.The Special Adviser on higher education represented by Director Administration of the department Kabir Lado disclosed this at a French day organized by the faculty of humanities Umaru Musa Yar’adua University Katsina.
Kabir Lado said there is need for indigenes to study French as it will ease communication at the boarders.

He urged the University to seek for French study slots from the National University Commission.
In a remark the commissioner for education represented by the ministry French desk officer Hamisu Yahaya spoke extensively on the importance of studying both languages.

He stated that the state government has established center for French studies located at Education resource Center in Katsina.
Eelier the Vice Chancellor of Yar’adua University said the program was aimed at making the general public aware of the university offering both diploma and certificates in French language.
