Breaking | Katsina Court Remands Umar Tata In Prison-Read Exclusive Report

Umar Abdullahi Tsauri popularly known as Tata to spend 3 days in prison after magistrate Judge failed to overrule on bail application request.

Tata was invited by the Katsina police command after receiving a signed petition from Dutsi LG community leaders over his planned distribution of free Ramadan food to masses in the Dusti LG.
This was disclosed when the FIR was read to the accused in court that consist allegations on intentional insult, untimely commencement of political campaign by Tata, inciting public disturbance and nuisance as alleged in the filed petition by the petitioners from Dusti community.

However Umar Tata pleaded not guilty to the charges which led to heated debate between counsel to the prosecutor and counsel of the accused regarding bail conditionality.  
The presiding judge adjourned case ruling to Monday 5th of June, 2017 and ordered that Umar Tata be remanded in prison custody till Monday.
