Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) Held Interactive Session With Stakeholders In Katsina


Katsina state emergency management agency SEMA has assured it readiness to collaborate with stakeholders towards having a framework for disaster risk reduction in the state.

The Exec Sec Aminu Waziri said this during in interactive session with stakeholders at the Banquet hall of Saidu Barda old government house Katsina.

He said the essence of the meeting is to discuss preventive measures and to create enlightenment to the public on disaster management risk reduction across the state.

Aminu Waziri noted that the agency has assisted victims of fire tanker outbreak in Malumfashi local government, victims of cattle rustlers, victims of flood victims in Dayi and victims of internally displaced persons IDPs in the state.

He noted the agency have successfully set up a local emergency committees across the 34 local government area councils in the state.

While commenting Murjanatu Mannir Abukur advice SEMA to provide fire extinguisher to schools and train staff on how to use them.
